Job summary

Arden University is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer (Site Reliability and Observability) to build and operate cloud platforms underpinning digital services. You will work across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure, delivering secure, scalable infrastructure and improving automation and observability.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience building production cloud infrastructure and platform services across AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
• Practical experience operating Kubernetes or equivalent container platforms, including deployments and troubleshooting.
• Strong skills in Terraform, Git and CI/CD pipelines with controlled, versioned changes.
• Bash or Python automation with Linux, networking, IAM and security basics.
• Experience implementing observability through metrics, logs, tracing and alerting.
• Understanding of SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, availability and capacity planning.
• Experience investigating production incidents and performing root-cause analysis.
• Experience with backup, restore, DR and resilience testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate and improve production cloud infrastructure across multiple providers.
• Develop and enhance observability, monitoring and incident response capabilities.
• Embed SRE practices across the cloud platform team.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with security, service management and application teams to ensure reliability.
