Job summary

Altium is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to safeguard the reliability, availability, and performance of its cloud platforms hosted across UK regions. You will automate operational tasks, enhance observability, and drive incident management with engineering teams.

MINIMUM 6+ years in SRE/DevOps, strong .NET development background, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS are expected. This role is based in Cambridge with hybrid work options and global collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years in SRE/DevOps or similar in large-scale environments.
Proficient software development background, especially .NET.
Strong understanding of SDLC, microservices, and HA architectures.
Experience with Kubernetes, AWS and observability tools.

Responsibilities

Understand how the Altium Cloud Platform works and contributes to reliability.
Improve observability with logging, monitoring, and APM for proactive issue detection.
Develop reliability frameworks to standardize SaaS resilience across regions.
Educate engineering teams on reliability best practices and shared responsibility.
Participate in incident response, post-incident analyses, and continuous improvement.
Design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning activities.
Drive IaC, automation, and deployment process improvements with DevOps teams.
Promote SOO principles for clear service ownership and accountability.
