Canal & River Trust seeks a Civil Engineer for the Design & Development Team covering Yorkshire & Northeast. You will design repairs, prepare specifications, and brief in-house teams, contractors and consultants to conserve historic waterways and maintain safe infrastructure for visitors.

The role offers a remote working basis with attendance at hub spaces as required; travel across the regional network is expected, including site visits. Regular network accessibility is essential.

Qualificações

• Civil engineering qualification or equivalent.
• ICE/IStructE membership.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Awareness of environmental considerations in civil design.
• Experience in civil design and construction, preferably water environment.
• Experience with historic infrastructure and AutoCAD is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate and develop clear design solutions with best value and whole life costs.
• Prepare repair specifications, works packages and drawings.
• Acting as Designer under CDM 2015, manage risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and consultants to deliver works.
• Undertake site inspections and investigations throughout the project life cycle.
• Contribute to Design Guidance, Standards and Specifications.
• Provide temporary works designs to support internal teams.
