Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a CFD Engineer - AI Task Designer to craft compact CFD and aerodynamics tasks that train AI models. You will leverage your OpenFOAM experience to build self-contained problems grounded in physics and ensure they are solvable and automatically gradable.

Designers work remotely on a flexible, hourly-contract basis, contributing to challenging CFD exercises and clear evaluation criteria for AI systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on OpenFOAM experience and CFD problem solving.
• Strong background in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.
• Ability to design self-contained, verifiable CFD tasks.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design compact CFD and aerodynamics tasks for AI reasoning.
• Write clear, unambiguous problem statements on boundaries, mesh, flow regimes.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers for model evaluation.
• Provide verified reference solutions proving solvability and scoring.
• Review and iterate tasks for physical accuracy and appropriate difficulty.
• Leverage OpenFOAM experience to ground tasks in practice.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your schedule.
