Job summary

Mentmore Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 6‑month contract focused on a technology transformation project. The role involves replacing a legacy Access-based pricing/quoting solution with a new Azure-hosted platform.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs and an external development team to define requirements, create developer-ready user stories, and support UAT in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven BA experience in software development or technology transformation projects.
• Strong ability to document requirements and write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience operating in Agile/Scrum environments and with backlog management.
• Experience supporting UAT and working with SMEs/business users.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Translate requirements into developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Scope and manage stories within Jira.
• Work within an Agile delivery environment and support backlog refinement and sprints.
• Act as the link between business stakeholders, SMEs, Product Ownership and the development team.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand the existing solution and define requirements for the new platform.
• Support UAT, validating that the solution meets agreed business requirements.
• Review delivered functionality and identify gaps or ambiguities.
