Job summary

Cashtrak is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of clients from a predominantly home-based setup. You will handle monthly and quarterly records, VAT returns, and ensure accuracy while collaborating with our team.

The role offers flexible hours, full-time contract, and on-site onboarding 2-3 days per week initially. Candidate must drive and live within Buckinghamshire or Berkshire.

Qualifications

• ICB Level 2 or AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 6 months’ experience working within the bookkeeping or accounting industry.
• Competent and confident with Xero - our primary software.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with QuickBooks would make you a strong candidate.

Responsibilities

• Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Journals and bookkeeping adjustments as required.
• Communicating directly with clients in a professional and helpful manner.
• Working within our practice management systems and document capture software.
• Responding to client queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Assisting with year-end preparation and supporting colleagues and/ or accountants as required.
