Job summary

ProTalent Limited is seeking a Client Bookkeeper for their Ashford, Kent office. You’ll manage your own portfolio of clients, handling bookkeeping end to end and serving as the main contact for queries and deadlines.

The role covers Sage and Xero bookkeeping, VAT and CIS returns, and supporting the accounts team at year end. Flexible hours with full-time or part-time arrangements are available, with onsite client work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bookkeeping experience across multiple client portfolios.
• Comfortable working to trial balance from incomplete records.
• Strong VAT knowledge; CIS experience is a bonus.
• Experience with Sage and Xero software.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeep a portfolio of clients end-to-end.
• Prepare VAT returns from start to finish.
• Prepare CIS returns and ensure CIS compliance.
• Convert incomplete records into a trial balance with accuracy.
• Support the accounts team at year-end.
