STARK Building Materials UK is seeking a dedicated Bid Writer to produce compelling, compliant tender submissions. The role is predominantly home-based with monthly travel to Coventry HQ for meetings, contributing to crafting proposals that clearly articulate the company’s value proposition.

You will work with sales, technical, and operations teams to gather information, tailor content, and deliver high-quality responses that maximise win rates while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bid writing experience or readiness for training in bid writing.
• Excellent research and interpretation skills.
• Strong writing, editing and review capabilities.
• Proactive attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent time-management and organisation.
• Clear communicator with good collaboration.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Relevant degree or GCSEs as stated.

Responsibilities

• Write and tailor bids to win public sector tenders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate info.
• Develop and manage a library of standard responses and templates.
• Ensure submissions meet client specs, deadlines and compliance.
• Prepare presentations to support post-submission interviews.
• Maintain brand consistency and document quality.
