Job summary

Searchability NS&D in the UK is seeking a mid-level to senior Azure DevOps Engineer to support an education-sector client. The role is Edinburgh-based with remote work and one day per month in the office. Salary up to £65,000 with benefits.

You will build, maintain and improve Azure infrastructure, write Terraform modules, and develop CI/CD pipelines to deliver reliable deployments. The role requires observability focus and the ability to explain technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure infrastructure experience.
• Experience writing Terraform configurations and reusable modules.
• Practical Application Insights experience and the ability to write KQL queries for troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing observability, monitoring and alerting.
• Infrastructure configuration and security hardening experience, with an understanding of the controls implemented.
• CI/CD and scripting experience.
• Ability to attend the Edinburgh office once per month.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve Azure infrastructure, writing Terraform code and reusable modules.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and strengthen infrastructure security.
• Investigate production issues using telemetry, logs and metrics to improve reliability.
