Job summary

Lightfoot is seeking an AWS Cloud & Python Engineer to own end-to-end data transformation applications and the AWS infrastructure that runs them. You will build Python-based pipelines, deploy scalable cloud architectures with Terraform, and optimise performance and costs.

The role offers hybrid work from Exeter with occasional office visits, and close collaboration with cloud engineers on CI/CD, monitoring, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience with data transformation and processing.
• Hands-on AWS infrastructure deployment and architectural design.
• Experience with Terraform and containerised workloads in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python data transformation applications for real-time processing.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and cloud services.
• Optimize cost, performance, and reliability of serverless and containerised workloads (Lambda, ECS, EC2).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments.
• Implement monitoring and tracing with CloudWatch and X-Ray; ensure high availability.
