Job summary

Prime Intellect is building an open frontier AI platform unifying compute, environments, evaluations, and secure sandboxes for post-training frontier research. You will design and post-train agents for scientific discovery, enabling literature search, code execution, and tool use within fixed budgets.

This externally facing Applied Research role partners with customers and research teams to advance autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Depth in RL, agents, or post-training systems and ability to acquire scientific context.
• Hands-on experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation loops.
• Strong experimental judgment and willingness to change direction with evidence.
• Strong Python and ability to build artifacts that others can run and extend.
• Comfort owning ambiguous problems and keeping partners updated.

Responsibilities

• Build long-horizon environments where agents search literature, query databases, run code, and choose experiments within a fixed budget.
• Turn workflows, datasets, and outcomes into trainable tasks, evaluations, and reward signals.
• Design verifiers for correctness, novelty, and reproducibility with checks for leakage and shortcuts.
• Link programmatic checks, simulations, domain models, and expert feedback to training with noisy results.
• Develop RL and multi-agent methods and compare with strong baselines at equal compute.
• Keep code, data, logs, and configurations reproducible and release reusable environments and research code.
