Job summary

Prime Intellect, Inc. is building the open frontier AI platform and RL-enabled systems.

This Applied Research role focuses on RL agents that reason over long horizons, use tools, and coordinate with other agents, driving reproducible results across domains. You will work with application teams and open-source users to extend algorithms, environments, and evaluation suites, delivering reusable research artifacts and open-source contributions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on RL training, scalable ML systems, or research spanning methods and systems.
• Experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation loops.
• Strong experimental judgment with clear baselines and traceability.
• Strong Python and ability to build runnable artifacts.
• Comfort owning ambiguous problems and coordinating with partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop RL and post-training methods for tool-using, multi-agent, memory-augmented, long-horizon systems.
• Create reusable environments, harnesses, rewards, and evaluations.
• Design experiments linking algorithms to training and inference behavior.
• Contribute open-source systems and papers.
