Job summary

Jagex is seeking an Associate Technical Director for the Player Platform team in Cambridge. You will shape technical direction across payments, subscriptions, accounts, web and launcher, guiding Lead Engineers and owning architectural decisions to balance scalability and debt.

You will lead multiple engineering teams, develop senior technical leaders, and align technical strategy with business needs while working with product and external partners.

• Communicate options, trade-offs and risks to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Guide architecture and evolution of complex systems across multiple domains.
• Own engineering standards and embed them in day-to-day work with Lead Engineers.
• Grow Lead Engineers through coaching and clear objectives.
• Work with product and business leaders to translate vision into technical options.
