RS Group is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead one API team and drive feature delivery at pace. You will shape technical vision, nurture a pragmatic delivery culture, and uphold high engineering standards in a product-domain environment.

You will manage 6–10 engineers, collaborate with architects, product owners, and scrummasters to deliver cohesive solutions, while ensuring observability and production reliability across services.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years in software engineering with at least 3 years in people leadership.
• Proven track record delivering cloud-native back-end systems and modern architectures.
• Strong experience with Java, Node.js and AWS services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, IAM, DynamoDB).
• Familiar with GraphQL, API tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Direct line management of an API engineering team (6–10 engineers).
• Lead technical design and delivery within product domains and ensure architectural alignment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Oversee observability, production support, and reliability of services.
• Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
• Champion quality and best practices across the team.
