Job summary

Delaney & Bourton seeks an API Software Engineer to join a growing team responsible for a critical API platform. You will evolve a Java-based backend to a modern TypeScript architecture, building REST APIs and integrations with AWS cloud-native patterns.

You’ll work closely with a small engineering group, contributing to OpenAPI standards, containerised deployments, and scalable API design to support customer-facing apps and third parties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building REST APIs and integrations.
• Strong skills in TypeScript and Java-based API platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and containerised deployments.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI standards and API design best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs used by internal/external customers.
• Advance a Java/Maven API platform towards TypeScript architecture.
• Build integrations between external apps and internal systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Produce clear technical docs and share knowledge across the team.
