Job summary

The British Standards Institution (BSI) invites applications for the Global Quality & Accreditation (GQA) Artificial Intelligence Technical Manager role. This homebased position with travel covers Europe/UK/US and leads a team delivering regulatory leadership for AI certification and conformity assessment globally.

You will oversee AI schemes under ISO standards, shape policies, engage stakeholders, and drive compliance with EU AI Regulations and other AI-related requirements while working in a

Qualifications

• BSc degree or higher in AI, engineering, IT, quality assurance or equivalent.
• At least four years' post-graduate experience in conformity assessment, quality management, software development, or standardization, including AI.
• Experience in AI lifecycle, regulatory aspects of AI products.
• Experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage AI notified body and AI certification body schemes globally.
• Lead development and maintenance of conformity assessment activities for EU AI regulations.
• Ensure policies and documentation meet latest AI regulatory obligations.
• Oversee NB, AI services and AIMS personnel to maintain high expertise.
• Provide policy input on AI technical and management systems assessment and related certification schemes.
• Represent BSI at AI events, forums, and stakeholder groups.
