Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced research fellows to help train their language model on professional presentation and slide deck tasks. You should have 3+ years post-PhD with a publication record and a proven ability to craft expert PowerPoint slides and communicate complex research clearly.

Role is fully remote with flexible timing (5–20 hours per week, more if desired). Start date ASAP; compensation is $70/hour. This is a contractor-style fellowship focused on high-quality research communication.

Qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years of active research and a publication record
• Track record of conference presentations and research communication
• Expert-level PowerPoint and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Train and evaluate AI-generated presentations and slide decks across core workflows (conference decks, posters, grant figures, results slides, lab meeting talks, plain-language summaries)
• Create, refine, and validate slides for professional presentation quality
• Collaborate with researchers and funders to ensure clear, impactful communication
