Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment seeks an experienced AI/ML Director to lead our AI initiatives. You will research, develop, and prototype AI/ML solutions to unlock new game experiences, guiding the engineering team and collaborating across departments.

You will oversee ML research, evaluate generative AI opportunities, and mentor teams while staying current with industry trends and emerging models. This role is fully remote with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience as AI/ML Lead or Manager, shaping AI strategy.
• Strong background in Python and C++, with ML frameworks.
• Excellent communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expertise in AI/ML theory, algorithms, and system design.
• Collaborative, mentoring mindset; game development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ML research, development, and implementation.
• Identify opportunities to use generative AI across pipelines.
• Gather AI needs from teams and convert to actionable plans.
• Drive execution of AI initiatives, prototypes, and workflow improvements.
• Prototype local models trained on internal data.
• Develop guidelines for agentic AI systems and educate teams.
