Qualifications

• Accredited Clinical Coder with NHS/acute hospital experience.
• Degree or equivalent in clinical coding; mandatory training completed.
• Pass of National clinical Coding Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Review local clinical coding policies and apply NHS standards.
• Mentor trainee staff in coding structures and policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and data governance compliance.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate coding and data quality.
• Keep up to date with ICD-10 and OPCS-4 guidelines.
