Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk for a fast-paced professional services client in the Nottingham area. The role is mainly home-based with occasional on-site collaboration, and pays 14–17 GBP per hour.

Responsibilities include processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and responding to payment queries while maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth accounts payable activity within a temporary assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate records.
• Confidence checking invoice details against supporting documentation.
• Ability to reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment queries.
• Good attention to detail when handling financial information.
• Ability to manage routine tasks accurately within a temporary assignment.
• Clear communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
• Check invoices against supporting documents to maintain accurate payment information.
• Maintain accounts payable records so financial information is easy to review.
• Respond to supplier payment queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare payment information for review and processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate differences where needed.
• File invoices and supporting documents in line with established procedures.
• Work with the wider Accounting & Finance team to keep accounts payable activity running smoothly.
