Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a remedial fire-door role in Brighton (BN1). The project involves internal fire-door remedials across two units, followed by external fire-barrier and cladding works. Immediate start available; approx.

6–8 weeks. You will work on 12 internal doors with a focus on repairs, using your own tools, including a trim router. Applicants should have strong Carpenter experience in remedial work, be comfortable in occupied residences, hold a Blue CSCS

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Carpenter, especially in remedial or fire-door works.
• Blue CSCS card is a minimum requirement.
• BM TRADA or FIRAS accreditation preferred but not essential.
• Experience in occupied residential properties.
• Own hand and power tools, including trim/flush router.
• Ability to complete internal remedials and external fire-barrier/cladding works.
• Owns and uses digital recording systems for works.

Responsibilities

• Complete remedial works to existing fire doors in occupied properties.
• Carry out repairs and adjustments to fire doors.
• Route and fit new fire strips as required.
• Work on ~12 internal fire doors with potential extra communal works.
• Then perform external fire-barrier and cladding works.
• Record works using a digital system and follow site procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and use your own tools.
