Job summary

Tradelink Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fire Door Carpenter to perform remedial fire door works across London social housing projects. You will be responsible for inspections, adjustments and repairs, ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards.

This full-time role requires a valid UK driving licence and the ability to work across various sites. An own vehicle is preferred with fuel coverage; ongoing pipeline of work and weekly pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire door inspections and remedial repairs.
• Knowledge of BS 8214 fire door regulations.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle fuel covered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door inspections, adjustments and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
• Replace seals, hinges, closers; correct non-conformities.
• Work across commercial, residential, and public sector properties.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out fire door inspections, adjustments, and repairs
• Ensuring all works meet current fire safety regulations
• Replacing seals, hinges, closers, and making compliance corrections
• Working across commercial, residential, and public sector properties

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience with fire door remedial work
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Carpentry (preferred)
• Excellent knowledge of fire door regulations (BS 8214, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
• Own vehicle required (fuel covered)
