Job summary

Pickfords is hiring a full-time Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV, 7.5T) and Porter to join our removals team. The role involves packing, loading and unloading vehicles while delivering excellent customer service. You will work as part of a team and may lead colleagues where required.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence; LGV/HGV licence is preferred but not essential, with training available. Domestic and commercial moves and occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK drivers licence essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and professional.
• Good team-working skills with the ability to take responsibility.
• Experience in removals, moving, logistics or a similar role is desirable.
• Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
• Full training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack, load, transport and unload customers' possessions.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
• Ensure Company health & safety and working procedures are followed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
• Support other operational duties as required.
