Job summary

Pickfords, the UK's leading relocation moving and storage company, is hiring a full-time Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV) and Porter to join the removals team in Edinburgh. You will support domestic and commercial moves, including packing, loading and unloading, and you will deliver excellent customer service while working as part of a team.

A valid UK driving licence is essential, and training to obtain LGV/C licences may be provided.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence valid for all vehicle types.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and professional.
• Good team-working with the ability to take responsibility.
• Experience in removals, moving, logistics or a similar role is desirable.
• Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
• Full training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack, load, transport and unload customers' possessions.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
• Ensure Company health & safety and working procedures are followed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
• Support other operational duties as required.
