TeacherActive is supporting a mainstream secondary school in Kingswinford by recruiting a Religious Studies Teacher for a full-time maternity cover from November 2026 to July 2027. You will deliver engaging RS lessons to KS3 and KS4 and promote discussion around beliefs and values.

Salary: £170 - £232 per day

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from November 2026 until July 2027 to provide maternity cover. The successful Religious Studies Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, encouraging discussion and critical thinking around religion, beliefs and values while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and classroom behaviour.

The successful Religious Studies Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Religious Studies or relevant Humanities specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Religious Studies / Religious Education across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment
