Job summary

TeacherActive in Chesterfield is seeking a Religious Studies & Philosophy Teacher for a full-time maternity cover from October. You will teach RS across KS3 and KS4 and Philosophy at A-Level, planning engaging lessons and assessing progress to uphold high standards.

Start Date: October
Salary: £175 - £250 per day

Are you an experienced Religious Studies Teacher with strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4?

Do you have experience teaching Philosophy at A-Level?

Are you looking for a full-time maternity cover role within a supportive and successful secondary school?

The school has a positive working environment and is looking for an experienced Religious Studies Teacher to join the department and contribute to the continued success of its students.

The school is looking to appoint a Religious Studies Teacher on a full-time maternity cover basis from October until March. The successful Religious Studies Teacher will teach Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside Philosophy at A-Level, and will be expected to plan engaging lessons, assess progress and maintain high standards within the classroom.

The successful Religious Studies Teacher will have:

• QTS with a relevant subject specialism


• Strong experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4


• Experience teaching Philosophy at A-Level


• Excellent subject knowledge


• Strong classroom management skills


• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
