TeacherActive is recruiting an experienced Religious Studies Teacher for a full‑time maternity cover at a good secondary school in Staveley. The role covers Religious Studies across KS3 and KS4, and Philosophy at A‑Level, with planning, assessment, and high standards across lessons.

The school has a positive working environment and is looking for an experienced Religious Studies Teacher to join the department and contribute to the continued success of its students.

The school is looking to appoint a Religious Studies Teacher on a full-time maternity cover basis from October until March. The successful Religious Studies Teacher will teach Religious Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, alongside Philosophy at A-Level, and will be expected to plan engaging lessons, assess progress and maintain high standards within the classroom.

The successful Religious Studies Teacher will have:

• QTS with a relevant subject specialism
• Strong experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4
• Experience teaching Philosophy at A-Level
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Strong classroom management skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
