Job summary

Aberlour Child Care Trust in Scotland is seeking relief workers for the Options Fife Continuing Care service in Glenrothes to cover 12.5-hour shifts and sleepovers on a residential rota, supporting four young people aged 16 and over in their own flats.

Applicants should have SCQF level 7+ or be prepared to work towards one, plus experience with children or young people. PVG Scheme checks apply; additional social care experience and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• SCQF level 7+ professional qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant experience of working with children or young people.
• PVG Scheme check.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover on 12.5-hour shifts and sleepovers following a residential rota.
• Support young people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live and thrive in the local community.
• Support the wider team as a relief worker.
