Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Grimsby is seeking Relief Support Workers to join our team. You’ll assist individuals with learning disabilities in daily activities and provide emotional support, helping them live fulfilling lives in a 24-hour care setting.

The role requires passion for helping others, strong communication, and a flexible approach to shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. DBS checks and references are standard; DBS enhanced check may be required.

Mencap are seeking Relief Support Workers to join our incredible team in Grimsby.

As a Relief Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

What we're looking for :

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

Days: Between 07:00- 22:00

There is also a non contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £ 64.20.

Please note: This position does not meet the minimum salary requirements for a Health and Care visa under the UK Skilled Worker route, as set by the Home Office. Therefore, although Mencap is a licensed sponsor, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role . Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK , as we are not able to support new visa applications or sponsorship requests for this vacancy.
