Job summary

Mencap in Rawtenstall is seeking passionate Relief Support Workers for a 4-month contract. Two roles are available, each at 30 hours per week, to support two gentlemen with learning disabilities.

One gentleman has Parkinson's disease, so moving and handling and hoist use may be required. You will assist with daily activities, medication, finances and personal care, as well as home maintenance, meals and appointments.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support.
• Support with medication, finances and personal care.
• Maintain the home: cleaning, laundry, meal planning and shopping.
• Help clients access community activities and appointments.
• Move and handle support where needed, including use of a hoist.
