Job summary

Royal Mencap Society is seeking Relief Support Workers to assist two gentlemen with learning disabilities in Rawtenstall and Bury. A driver capable of driving a manual car is essential for this role.

You will provide daily living support, manage medications and finances, assist with personal care, and help maintain their home and routines. This role involves community access, social activities, and flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to two men with learning disabilities (one with Parkinson's).
• Help with medication, finances, and some personal care.
• Maintain home, including cleaning, laundry, and meal planning/prep.
• Support attendance at social activities and community access.
• Move and handle assistance as needed, including wheelchair use and hoist.
