Job summary

Sense in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, seeks a Relief Worker to support adults with daily routines, care and engagement. The role is casual relief at £13 per hour with varying shifts from Monday to Saturday, including a Saturday children’s group. You’ll help with activities, outings and social participation.

Job description

Are you looking for a flexible role that fits around your life? At Sense, we don't just provide care - we champion independence, and we're looking for Relief Worker to join our team at our day service centre, Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This is a casual relief role at £13 per hour, with various shift patterns from Monday to Saturday. We support people to have meaningful engagement in activities and develop on life skills. You will support our adults on Monday to Friday and a children group on Saturdays.

In this role, you'll be:
  • Supporting with daily routines, personal care, and medication
  • Accompanying people on trips, outings, and holidays
  • Enabling people to enjoy creative activities such as drama, art, and gardening
  • Supporting people with their social lives, friendships, and employment.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to:
  • Be warm, reliable, and flexible
  • Be comfortable supporting people with a range of needs
  • Be resilient and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be willing to attend training to support you in your role
