Job summary

Mencap is seeking caring individuals to support people with learning disabilities in a 24/7 environment. You will help with daily activities, provide emotional support, and foster meaningful relationships with service users.

We value empathy, strong communication, and flexibility. Roles require availability across evenings, weekends and holidays, with DBS check and references as part of the hiring process. Training and a supportive team accompany your onboarding.

Job description

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life. What we're looking for: A genuine passion for supporting others. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
