Job summary

Thera is seeking a dedicated support worker to join our inclusive team, assisting adults with a learning disability to achieve personal goals using a person-centred approach.

You will provide personal and emotional support, help plan and manage daily living, and assist with leisure and travel in the community or home settings. Training is provided; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience or qualifications required; full training will be provided.
  • Compassionate, Caring and Confident.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with high motivation; professional and articulate.

Responsibilities

  • Help adults with a learning disability to achieve personal goals using a person-centred approach.
  • Provide personal and emotional support in daily living activities.
  • Assist with planning and managing home life, leisure, and travel.
  • Support people in their own home or in the community.

Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and any day could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, interests, and travel. You could be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.
