We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which involves creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is offered opportunities, experiences, and care/support as outlined in their care plan. The role also includes promoting access to local community opportunities and enabling individuals to continue living meaningful lives.
We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people. Our services include care homes, a respite unit, STAR unit, and day services.

The Person
Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care and support.
Be flexible and creative within a dynamic and ambitious team.
Have or be able to work towards the required qualification as specified by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Once qualified, it is the individual's responsibility to inform the SSSC accordingly.
To achieve registration with the SSSC within 6 months of starting in this role, you must apply within 3 months of your start date. Maintaining registration requires holding or working towards the SSSC benchmark qualification (including SVQ Level 3), completing ongoing professional learning, and submitting an annual declaration via MySSSC. If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be conditional upon achieving the required qualification within the specified timeframe.
Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
