Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council's Alford Ski Centre is seeking qualified ski instructors to join our friendly team. Shifts are mainly in the early afternoon into evening with some weekend work possible; you will teach the next generation of skiers and provide a pathway to local clubs and talented athletes.

We expect a commitment to quality service, continuous improvement, and adherence to safeguarding and PVG requirements.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme is required or update checked
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if spent time abroad
• Minimum one reference from current or most recent employer

Come and join our amazing team of instructors at Alford Ski Centre. Shifts available are mainly early afternoon into evening and some weekend work may be available. Instructors are vital to our centre to teach the next generation of skiiers and provide a pathway to our local clubs and next talented athletes.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
