Job summary

Derbyshire County Council invites applications for a Relief Senior Care Worker at Florence Shipley Community Care Centre in Matlock. The role involves leading care staff, delivering high-quality personal care, and mentoring the team to ensure safe, person-centred support.

Full training will be provided; QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable or willingness to obtain it. Shifts run on a two-sweep system: 06:45–14:30 and 14:15–22:15, including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care desirable or willingness to undertake the training when in post.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor care staff and deliver all aspects of personal care.
• Allocate day-to-day tasks within the care team and administer medication.
• Develop and review personal service planning with emphasis on person-centred care.
• Promote good practice and deliver high-quality care and support to residents.
