Job summary

Bidvest Noonan seeks a Relief Security Officer to provide flexible security coverage onsite for our client. You will patrol premises, deter unauthorised access, respond to alarms and incidents, and maintain detailed records to support safety and compliance.

You will also build strong working relationships with staff and Building Management, ensuring information is readily available and security procedures are followed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access, damage, safety risks, or suspicious behaviour.
• Respond quickly and effectively to alarms, emergencies and security incidents, liaising with emergency services and providing first response where required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies, actions and systems to provide staff and visitors with information as needed.
• Maintain accurate records including daily logs, incident reports and handover notes for compliance and clear communication across shifts.
• Coordinate closely with the Building Management team to support security operations.

We are looking for a Relief Security Officer to provide flexible and reliable security coverage to join us onsite with our client, you'll be someone who prides themselves in providing professional security services. Does this sound like you?

What the day to day looks like

• Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises to identify and deter unauthorised access, damage, safety risks, or suspicious behaviour. Day to day running of building
• Respond quickly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents. Take appropriate action in line with established procedures, including liaising with emergency services and providing first response support where required.
• Build and maintain a current, working knowledge of all policies, actions, systems, and developments, as well as general information, to be able to provide staff and visitors with information as required
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and handover notes. Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards and supports effective communication between shifts.
• To maintain close working relationships with the relevant Building Management team and to coordinate efforts

Skills & Experience required
