Carlisle Support Services are the chosen supplier for a unique and prestigious contract located at Portsmouth International Port. Cruise operations within the Port are expanding rapidly, and as a result, we are looking to expand our operation to support these developments and recruit officers to work alongside the current Port security team when cruise ships are in.
The role is varied and flexible. A high level of security and counter‑terrorism awareness are of primary importance, the position also requires excellent communication skills (spoken and written), excellent customer service skills as well as the highest standards of personal presentation.
The key aspects of the role are the searching of passengers and the use of X‑ray machines to check any accompanying luggage. Candidates must be confident, assertive, able to follow detailed instructions and capable of swift, reasoned decision making under pressure.
