Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Relief Security Officer for the Brough site (HU15 1EQ). The role is an on-site position with a competitive hourly rate (£14.56) and 12-hour shifts, contracted 42 hours per week across days, nights and weekends.

You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to alarms and incidents, and work as part of a professional team dedicated to safeguarding staff, visitors and assets. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence is required.
• Minimum 5 years of employment history that is checkable.
• Born British or hold a British passport for at least 5 years.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.
• Smart, reliable and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site patrols and perimeter checks.
• Record and report incidents clearly and accurately.
• Monitor and manage site access points.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies and on-site incidents.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors and emergency services.
• Follow all client-specific security procedures.

About the Role:
As a Security Officer in this vital position, you’ll be the first line of defence for a key site in Brough. Your presence alone helps ensure staff, visitors, and assets are kept safe at all times. One moment you may be conducting a perimeter patrol, the next responding to an access control alert or assisting with an emergency drill. This isn’t just about locking doors—it’s about being alert, observant, and confident under pressure. You’ll be part of a professional team trusted to maintain a secure, calm, and safe environment.
