Job summary

Securitas UK in Swindon is seeking a Relief Security Officer to safeguard staff, visitors and assets across multiple sites. The role offers an average 36-hour week with days, nights and weekends included, at £15 per hour.

You will deliver professional customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access and CCTV, and follow client procedures, ensuring safety and security at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• First Aid qualification and CCTV Licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment history.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Excellent customer service with a smart, professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors and contractors professionally.
• Conducting regular site patrols, security inspections and safety checks.
• Monitoring access points, CCTV and ensuring client procedures are followed.
• Responding to incidents, alarms, evacuations and search procedures.
• Maintaining vigilance and reporting incidents promptly.
• Completing accurate incident reports and security documentation.

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and flexible Relief Security Officer to provide security services across various corporate and commercial sites in the Swindon area. As a Relief Security Officer, you will protect employees, property, and assets while following site-specific procedures and customer requirements. The Relief Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service, consistently demonstrating Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. Flexibility to work across multiple locations, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, is essential. A valid full SIA licence is required before commencing operational shifts.

Responsibilities

Job Description

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Conducting regular site patrols, security inspections, and safety checks to protect people, property, and assets.
• Monitoring access and egress points, CCTV systems, and ensuring all security protocols and client procedures are followed.
• Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies, alarm activations, evacuations, and search procedures.
• Maintaining vigilance at all times, preventing disruption, identifying risks, and reporting incidents promptly.
• Completing accurate incident reports, site records, handovers, and all required security documentation.
• Previous experience within a corporate security environment is desirable.
