Job summary

ABM UK at The Sidings, Waterloo, SE1 7BH, is seeking a Security Officer for flexible, 4 on 4 off shifts (days/nights/weekends). The role starts with a minimum 12 hours per week and pays £15.39 per hour.

You must hold an SIA license (doorsupervisor), plus First Aid; CCTV license is a plus. Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting incidents, controlling access, and liaising with the duty management team while delivering a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Must hold an SIA License (Doorsupervisor's license minimum).
• First Aid certification.
• ACCTV license is desirable.
• Security experience within the retail or similar environment (preferable).
• Must meet the BS7858 vetting requirements.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work on own or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors and clients, providing a friendly, professional, and helpful service.
• Perform regular site patrols, monitor and control unauthorised access, and manage emergencies as per site policies.
• Work closely with the ABM Duty management team, ensuring that incidents are reported and managed efficiently.
• Log incidents, emergencies, and non-conformances accurately.
• Collaborate with Environmental Services and other teams to provide unified service.

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 ON 4 OFF, Various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. Days: 0700 – 1900, Nights 1900-0700

• Hours: Minimum 12 hours per week, overtime available
