Job summary

Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL) in the Barnsley area is seeking a Relief Retail Security Officer to join our team. The role covers varied hours on a relief basis, with an hourly rate site-dependent between £12.71 and £15.00.

You will deter crime, respond to incidents, and work with local authorities to keep stores secure. Applicants should have a valid SIA licence and be able to provide a five-year checkable history; right to work documents and address verification are required at

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Retail security experience is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
• Ability to provide a full five-year checkable history for work or education.
• Right to work documents and recent proof of address are required at interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible deterrent and patrol the shop floor.
• Respond to incidents and complete incident reports.
• Collaborate with local authorities as required.
• Liaise with management and authorities when applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and professionalism.
• Carry out guarding duties in-store and conduct searches per policy.
• Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones and record daily activities.
• Produce detailed, clear incident reports to support clients and authorities.
