Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a confident Relief Retail Security Officer to protect people and property on the shop floor, deter theft and support a safe shopping environment. This role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, with paid lunch breaks and full induction.

Job description

We're looking for a confident, approachable Relief Retail Security Officer who can bring energy, professionalism and a calm presence to the shop floor. This is a role where no two days are the same as you'll be helping to protect people, prevent loss and create a safe, positive shopping experience for customers and colleagues alike.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
• Supporting various stores within the the areas of Shrewsbury,Telford and Wolverhampton

A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training - we may be able to support you with this)

• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach
• Own transport required due to loactions of stores

£13.96 per hour + Paid Lunch Break
