Job summary

Mitie are seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide a calm, confident presence on the shop floor and protect customers and staff.

You will deter theft, patrol stores, operate CCTV, and work with management and police networks to maintain a safe shopping environment. A valid SIA licence and a 5-year checkable history are required, with ongoing training and progression opportunities offered.

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training - we may be able to support you with this)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
