Mitie is seeking a committed Security Officer for Sainsbury's Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas. This part-time relief role offers flexibility with overtime opportunities and is paid at £14.51 per hour, plus a fully paid lunch break.

You'll provide a visible, approachable security presence on the shop floor, delivering excellent customer service while deterring theft and supporting store management and local policing partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular store patrols and patrols with CCTV where appropriate
• Work with Police and local crime networks where needed

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Need

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training – we may be able to support you with this)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (this is essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach
