Job summary

Capability Scotland is seeking a Relief Rehabilitation Assistant in Dumfries to support individuals with acquired brain injury in a flexible, relief-based role. You will work on a person-centred basis to help clients achieve personal goals and maintain independence, with activities ranging from one-to-one support to community participation.

The role includes mobility assistance and occasional driving to different community settings, with hours ad hoc between Monday and Thursday 10am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care or support environment
• Care-related SVQ Level 3 or willingness to gain within set timeframe
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Full driving license and access to a car

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to people with brain injury
• Assist with mobility and daily activities incl. wheelchair pushing
• Support participation in community activities
• Encourage independence and skill development
