  • Monitor production activities to ensure optimum output, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

  • Carry out routine plant inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs, recording all actions appropriately.

  • Ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet production demands.

  • Complete regular stock checks, including weekly visual inspections and monthly stock verification.

  • Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet required specifications.

  • Supervise contractors, hauliers, visitors, and employees to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.

  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the plant, equipment, and associated buildings.

  • Ensure waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions are managed in line with environmental procedures.

  • Identify and report any defects, incidents, or issues that could impact health and safety, environmental performance, product quality, or customer service.

  • Continuously review plant performance and working practices to maximise efficiency and resource utilisation.

  • Maintain the security and integrity of the site and associated assets at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, plant, construction materials, or heavy industrial environment.

  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site operations.

  • Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based production systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.

  • Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and operational issues.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexible approach to travel, as this role involves providing cover across multiple sites.
