Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson UK) is seeking a Plant Supervisor to lead our Greenhithe concrete and mortar production facility, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency. You will coordinate with the order office and plant staff to meet customer requirements while supervising maintenance and compliance with environmental procedures.

The role requires strong leadership, plant operations experience, and a good grasp of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing/industrial plant.
• Strong understanding of production processes and maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Order Office, plant staff and customers to ensure production meets requirements.
• Regularly inspect plant, perform maintenance and keep facilities clean.
• Manage waste, water discharge and dust in line with Environmental Procedures.
• Ensure materials are available for production and inspect incoming materials.
• Conduct weekly stock checks of all materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety instructions by all personnel on site.
• Review work methods to maximise efficiency and attend required training.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Plant Supervisor – Greenhithe Concrete

We are looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our team in Camden. This is a key role ensuring the smooth operation of our concrete and mortar production facility, delivering high-quality products to meet customer requirements while maintaining safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to ensure production meets customer requirements and achieves optimum output, quality, and standards.
• Regularly inspect and ensure plant routine maintenance is carried out, maintaining cleanliness of plant mechanisms, areas, buildings, equipment, and facilities.
• Manage waste disposal, water discharge, and dust emissions in line with Environmental Procedures.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available for production and inspect incoming materials.
• Conduct weekly visual stock checks of all materials.
• Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors comply with safety instructions.
• Continuously review work methods and plant utilisation to maximise efficiency.
• Keep knowledge up to date and attend training as required.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.
