Worcestershire County Council's Highways & Transport Operations is seeking a relief passenger assistant to help transport children and adults to schools and day centres. You will support the driver by helping passengers on and off the vehicle and ensure safety and comfort during journeys.

Work includes split shifts, sickness and holiday cover, and some passengers with enhanced care needs. A satisfactory DBS check is required as a condition of appointment.

Formación

• Satisfactory DBS criminal record check, exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
• Ability to undertake moderate physical activity, sometimes in confined spaces
• Ability to make own way to pick-up points

Responsabilidades

• Help passengers on and off the vehicle by step or vehicle lift, according to need
• Work with the driver to transport passengers safely to their destination
• Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers, including those with enhanced care requirements
• Cover for sickness, holidays and busy periods, as and when required

This is an as-and-when relief post with Worcestershire County Council's Highways & Transport Operations, transporting children and adults to schools and day centres. The main work is helping passengers on and off the vehicle by step or lift while working alongside the driver to keep them safe and comfortable.
